Indianapolis-based Ascension St. Vincent cut the ribbon on the Lucas Family Brain and Spine Hospital.

The hospital will be a regional hub for brain and spine care and has 38 specialized ICU rooms, eight operating suites and advanced labs, according to a July 28 news release. Surgical suites have technologies including 360-degree imaging, real-time contrast tracking and navigation.

“This is more than just a new hospital, it’s a transformative investment in our patients and our community,” Stephan Masoncup, Ascension St. Vincent’s chief strategy officer, said in the release. “This facility will enable us to deliver the most advanced care for brain and spine conditions, ensuring that children and adults in Indiana and beyond have access to world-class treatment close to home.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
