Princeton, N.J.-based Regentis Biomaterials released clinical data supporting the safety and efficacy of GelrinC, an implant for treating articular cartilage in injured knees. The study showed sustained knee improvement 24 months after implantation. Gelrin C is a biodegradable hydrogel implant for cartilage defects. The implant naturally degrades after six to 12 months and is replaced with functional and durable cartilage.
