Tom VanOsdol, former CEO of Jacksonville, Fla.-based Ascension St. Vincent, will have to testify as the health system defends lawsuits focused on a former orthopedic surgeon at Riverside Hospital, News4Jax reported Dec. 2.

New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery has used the OrthAlign navigation device in 16,500 joint replacements.

HCA Florida Northwest Hospital in Margate has selected Nathaniel Thomas, DO, as a new surgeon for its orthopedic program. 

Rothman Orthopaedic Institute and Drexel University Athletics, both in Philadelphia, signed a multi-year partnership.

Johnson & Johnson's CEO, Joaquin Duato, was elected to chair of the board, the medtech company said Nov. 30.

WishBone Medical named Mark Figgie, MD, as its interim CEO, the orthopedic devicemaker said Dec. 1.
