Starting Feb. 18, St. Mark’s will only offer 24/7 emergency services, patient observation and select outpatient care, according to a Feb. 13 news release. Besides orthopedics, inpatient, surgery, post-acute skilled rehab, ambulatory and speech services will be closed.

Rural Hospital designation will help keep St. Mark’s open so locals can access emergency care.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
