Twelve providers from Norman-based Oklahoma Sports & Orthopedics Institute are now practicing at SSM Health Bone & Joint clinics throughout central Oklahoma, according to a Jan. 2 press release.
Four quick facts:
1. Six orthopedic surgeons, one sports medicine specialist and five physician assistants joined SSM Health Bone & Joint, which is part of St. Louis-based SSM Health Medical Group, at the start of the year.
2. SSM Health said the partnership will enable it to expand orthopedic offerings and concentrate on patient success.
3. SSM Health Bone & Joint and OSOI will provide joint replacements, spine surgery, pain management services, sports medicine and more at six central Oklahoma locations.
4. As Becker's previously reported, Norman Regional partnered with five other former OSOI physicians. They will continue seeing patients at their clinics in Norman and Midwest City, Okla.
"SSM Health and OSOI have been working together to serve patients for more than a decade, and we know this new approach will enhance our offerings and bring success to even more patients seeking orthopedic surgery solutions," said Kevin Lewis, MD, SSM Health Medical Group's regional president in Oklahoma.
