Dr. Hagen received her medical degree from Georgetown’s School of Medicine and completed her postdoctoral research in female athletic injuries, the prevention and cure of musculoskeletal injuries, concussion prevention and gender-based concussion studies.
As a consultant for the Pittsburgh Steelers’ medical team, Dr. Hagen became the first female doctor to travel with a professional NFL team.
Dr. Hagen was also involved with a number of philanthropic pursuits, including serving as a medical and coaching volunteer with the Special Olympics, a healthcare provider in Cameroon, Africa and at homeless shelters.
