Study: Physician Groups to Invest More in Ambulatory EHRs

A recent study showed that nearly 63 percent of physician groups would replace their current practice management system for a more integrated electronic health record system, according to a news release from research firm CapSite.

The Ambulatory EHR and PM Study, which surveyed more than 1,300 physician groups, also found that efficiency is the number one reason free-standing physician groups are buying EHR systems, and the ambulatory EHR and PM solutions market is projected to reach $3 billion, the news release said.
