Study: 90.4% of Hip Surgery Patients Return to Work Post-Surgery

A recent study co-authored by five hip surgeons from across the country, including Craig Della Valle, MD, at Chicago’s Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, found that 90.4 percent of patients were able to return to their preoperative occupations after hip surgery, according to an MOR news release.

Most of the jobs were high manual labor jobs. The study included 943 patients younger than 60 years old. Researchers found that 2.3 percent of patients were limited in their return to work abilities after surgery.
