Study: 75% Oxycodone Users Report Costly Side Effects

About 75 percent of patients taking oxycodone controlled-release for chronic pain report suffering from side effects, according to Pharmacy News.

A recent study found while the oxycodone controlled-release was most commonly used oral opioid for pain, most patients reported side effects that reduced compliance or required additional medical services.

About 40 percent of the patients in the six week study reporting spending up to $425 on additional medical resources to manage side effects.
