Sheeraz A. Qureshi, MD (Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York City).
Dr. Qureshi is an assistant professor of spine surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital and the Leni and Peter W. May Department of Orthopaedics Surgery. He is also the chief of spinal trauma at Elmhurst Hospital. His clinical interests include cervical and lumbar spine surgery, minimally invasive spine surgery, microsurgery, spinal trauma and tumors.
Dr. Qureshi also conducts research into outcomes data as well as the biological and biomechanical impact of motion sparing technology. He has authored several research articles based on his work and has advanced expertise in motion-sparing procedures such as artificial disc replacement. He has served on the scientific advisory boards for Orthofix and Pioneer Surgical Technology.
Dr. Qureshi earned his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. His additional training includes a spine surgery fellowship at the University Hospitals Case Medical Center under Dr. Henry Bohlman.
