Khoo1Larry Khoo, MD (Good Samaritan Hospital, Los Angeles). Dr. Khoo is a pioneer in minimally invasive spine procedures, serving as co-director of the UCLA Comprehensive Spine Center for around seven years before joining Good Samaritan Hospital. He has a special interest in percutaneous spinal fusions, motion preservation technology, spine segment regeneration, image guided spine surgery, complex cervical spine reconstruction and less invasive spinal tumor treatment.

 

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Khoo focuses on research and has more than 60 peer reviewed journal articles. He also holds 10 patents for his innovations. Dr. Khoo served on organizational and executive committees American Academy of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, North American Spine Society, Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery and the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery.

 

Dr. Khoo earned his medical degree from Yale Medical School in New Haven, Conn., and completed his residency in neurological surgery at the University of Southern California. His additional training includes a fellowship at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago.
