UK College of Health Sciences appoints Dr. W. Scott Black director of the division of physician assistant studies — 5 things to know

Lexington-based University of Kentucky College of Health Sciences named W. Scott Black, MD, director of the division of physician assistant studies, according to KY Forward.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. Dr. Black will assume his new position starting Jan. 4, 2016.

 

2. He presently is the medical director of UK Employee Health.

 

3. Dr. Black also serves as a team physician for the UK Wildcats and the Eastern Kentucky University Colonels.

 

4. After earning his medical degree from UK College of Medicine, he underwent his residency at the same institution.

 

5. Following his residency, Dr. Black completed his sports medicine fellowship at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C.
