George Miz, MD (Bone & Joint Physicians, Oak Lawn, Ill.).
Dr. Miz has been a partner with Bone & Joint Physicians since 1985. He has a special interest in treating spinal disorders and was one of the first surgeons in his geographic location to enroll clinical trials to perform artificial disc replacement. His practice focuses on new techniques for treating patients with degenerative conditions.
He also has experience treating patients with spinal deformities, trauma, tumors and other spinal conditions. Dr. Miz earned his medical degree at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Southern Illinois University and affiliated hospitals. His additional training includes a scoliosis and spinal surgery fellowship at New York University and Bellevue Hospital.
