Dr. Robert Stanton to lead young surgeons on AOSSM’s traveling fellowship program

Robert Stanton, MD, of Fairfield, Conn.-based Orthopaedic Specialty Group will accompany three surgeons as part of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine Traveling Fellowship Program, according to a CT Post report.

Dr. Stanton and the young surgeons will travel to China, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan to present research and exchange information regarding sports medicine techniques. The surgeons are undergoing postgraduate training in sports medicine.  

 

Dr. Stanton is a past president of the AOSSM and he is a member of the medical staff for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and the Bridgeport Bluefish. He is also a senior attending physician at Bridgeport (Conn.) Hospital, according to the report.
