Anthony Miniaci, MD, of Cleveland Clinic, performed arthroscopic knee surgery on New Jersey Devils’ forward Patrik Elias.

1. The surgery on the hockey player’s right knee was successful.

 

2. There is no timeline on when Mr. Miniaci will be able to return to play; he has not played in the last nine games due to the injury.

 

3. Dr. Miniaci completed a shoulder and knee fellowship in Bern, Switzerland; a sports medicine fellowship at Centinela Hospital Medical Center in Inglewood, Calif.; and an orthopedic fellowship at University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada.
