Controversy Continues on Professional Athlete HGH Use

The National Football League continues testing athletes for human growth hormone use, which athletes may be using without considering the potential long-term affects of the substance on their bodies, according to a report from CBS 42.

Human growth hormone occurs naturally in the body to enhance growth and repair tissue, and in the event of injury some athletes have applied additional HGH to speed up the healing process. HGH hasn’t been studied extensively and there may be unknown side effects to use.
