Children’s Health begins building pediatric sports medicine institute with Dr. James Andrews: 4 things to know

Dallas-based Children’s Health started construction on the Children’s Health Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, which is being built in collaboration with James Andrews, MD, according to a Dallas Business Journal report.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. The institute is expected to encompass four stories and 185,000 square feet.

 

2. The facility will include four operating rooms, an imaging center and indoor and outdoor athletic facilities.

 

3. Physicians at the institute will treat a wide array of musculoskeletal conditions, including meniscal tears, fracture repair as well as congenital and hereditary orthopedic disorders.

 

4. The institute is the first of its kind in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
