Bradford CurrierBradford Currier, MD (Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn.). Dr. Currier is a professor of orthopedic surgery at Mayo Clinic and has a special interest in spine surgery. He has been president of the Lumbar Spine Research Society and published his research in several professional journals, including Spine and Journal of Neurosurgical Spine Surgery.

 

Dr. Currier’s current research interests include tissue engineering strategies for spinal issues, particularly involving metastatic and primary spinal tumors. He also has a multidisciplinary spinal cord injury research team investigating spinal cord regeneration. His team collaborates with the biomechanics laboratory and other departments. He is a professor of orthopedic surgery at Mayo. 

 

Dr. Currier earned his medical degree at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and completed his residency at Mayo Clinic. His additional training includes a fellowship in spine surgery at the University of Miami.
