The Back and Neck Pain Program is designed to provide faster and more effective relief for employees’ back and neck pain. Under the program, patients will receive a rapid diagnosis at participating GHS physician practices and begin treatment the same day. GHS will tailor a patient’s treatment “track” to meet each individual’s needs and use national best practices and standards.

BCBS of South Carolina, which is the administrator of the GHS’ employee health plan, will waive the deductibles of members who participate as an incentive to join the program. The insurer is also developing a reimbursement process for the program as well as methods for measuring outcomes and satisfaction.
