AAOS Honors Dr. Frank Frassica for Contributions to the Orthopedic Resident Board Examination Preparation

The creator of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery Part 1 Examination Board Preparation and Review Course for orthopedic surgery residents Frank J. Frassica, MD, has retired, and A. Jay Khanna, MD, will succeed him as course director, according to an AAOS Now report.

Dr. Frassica was initially selected to create the program in 2004 to help residents prepare for the examination. During his tenure, Dr. Frassica has served more than 1,620 orthopedic residents with the course.

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons honored Dr. Frassica with a plaque earlier this year during his last session as course director.
