59% of Healthcare Organizations Allocating More Funds to IT Security

In the past year, more than half of healthcare organizations have designated more funds in their IT budget to information security, according to the 2011 HIMSS Security Survey (pdf).

The Healthcare Information & Management Systems Society survey also revealed that 35 percent of organizations spend 1-3 percent of their overall IT budget on information security.
