5 key notes on New York Giants new head physician Dr. Scott Rodeo

The New York Giants named Scott A. Rodeo, MD, its new head team physician, according to a report on the Giants website.

1. Dr. Rodeo has been an associate team physician since 2000.

 

2. He is an attending orthopedic surgeon and co-chief emeritus of the sports medicine and shoulder service at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.

 

3. In 2004 and 2008 he also served as team physician for the U.S. Olympic swimming team.

 

4. He focuses on shoulder instability, knee ligament injury, rotator cuff injury/rotator cuff disease and meniscus transplantation.

 

5. Dr. Rodeo completed fellowship training at Hospital for Special Surgery.
