Medtronic acquired Titan Spine, a private company focused on titanium spinal implants and surface technology. Medtronic will now be able to bundle interbodies, screws, rods, biologics and enabling technologies — which includes robotics and navigation — for an overall integrated spine solution.

Smith & Nephew acquired Atracsys Sàrl, a Switzerland-based provider of optical tracking technology used in computer-assisted surgery. The acquisition comes as part of Smith & Nephew’s strategy to develop its digital surgery and robotics ecosystem to enhance clinical outcomes.
Spectrum Plastics Group acquired Wexford, Ireland-based medical balloon solutions company, Earnan Biomedicals. The deal is part of Spectrum’s plan to develop its presence in the international medical device market.
Acumed acquired Radicle Orthopaedics’ RASL Repair System, which treats the scapholunate ligament of the wrist. Acumed acquired the solution for an undisclosed sum to boost its hand and wrist portfolio.
