Kingsport, Tenn.-based Holston Valley Medical Center has expanded its robotic surgery offerings with the addition of the da Vinci Xi surgical system, according to a May 4 LinkedIn post.

Albuquerque, N.M.-based Lovelace Medical Center and Westside Hospital have acquired a robot for hip and knee replacements, and surgeons are loving it, according to local news outlet KOB4.

Kevin Rudder, MD, an orthopedic surgeon who recently joined Magnolia (Ark.) Regional Medical Center, had requested that the hospital purchase a robot to assist with hip and knee surgeries,  according to Magnoliareporter.com.
