Rome, Ga.-based Floyd Medical Center logged its first case with DePuy Synthes' Velys robot for knee replacements, Coosa Valley News reported Dec. 9.

Bradenton, Fla.-based Coastal Orthopedics is the first practice in the area to offer Stryker's Mako robotic-arm assisted knee replacements, the practice said Dec. 8.
