In its first month, Crystal Clinic’s specialty hospital in Fairlawn, Ohio, completed almost 100 knee and hip replacements with the technology to reach the landmark, according to a Dec. 20 news release.
The $100 million, 165,000-square-foot facility — which opened Nov. 1 — offers orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery, inpatient postsurgical care and physical therapy. It comprises 60 private patient rooms and 12 operating rooms equipped with Stryker’s Mako system and the ExactechGPS-guided personalized surgery system for joint replacements.
The Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center Hospital replaced the practice’s inpatient and surgical facility in Akron.
Crystal Clinic performs more than 17,000 surgeries annually. It is the only hospital in Ohio to receive Joint Commission certifications in total hip, total knee, total shoulder and spinal fusion procedures, according to a news release.
