Dr. Browning performs general and colorectal surgeries with the robot, which can lead to shorter hospital stays, less post-op pain and quicker recovery.

He has been “instrumental in implementing and growing our robotics program,” Andy Guz, Lakewood Ranch Medical Center CEO, said in a recent news release.

Designed by Intuitive Surgical, Da Vinci Xi provides surgeons with multiquadrant access and is used for complex procedures in cancer, urology, gynecology and gastroenterology.
