5 hospitals adding orthopedic robot systems in 45 days

Here are five hospitals and health systems that have integrated orthopedic robot systems to aid in surgeries and procedures that Becker’s has reported on since Sept. 5:

1. Alabaster, Ala.-based Shelby Baptist Medical Center added the Mako robot system to assist in knee and hip procedures.

2. Oxford-based Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi completed its first total knee replacement with Zimmer Biomet’s Rosa robot.

3. Fremont, Calif.-based Washington Hospital Healthcare System debuted Think Surgical’s TMINI miniature robotic system. 

4. Resurgens Orthopaedics’ Austell, Ga., location became the first practice in the region to offer robot-assisted total knee replacements using Smith + Nephew’s CORI Surgical System.

5. Greenwich (Conn.) Hospital performed its first total knee replacement surgery using robotic assistance.
