Philadelphia-based Rothman Orthopaedics has laid off 18 employees, CEO Christopher Olivia, MD, told Becker's.

Cincinnati-based Mayfield Brain & Spine has opened its fifth location in the region on Cincinnati's east side, according to a March 1 report from the Cincinnati Business Courier. 

Lynchburg-based OrthoVirginia will open a new location in Midlothian, Va. in 2024, the practice said March 2.

Durham, N.C.-based EmergeOrtho, Indianapolis-based OrthoIndy and Seattle-based Proliance Surgeons banded together to form an orthopedic group free of private equity, and its leaders hope others will follow their lead.

Orthopedic Institute in Sioux Falls, S.D. plans to open a location in Delapre Township, S.D., Sioux Falls Business reported Feb. 27.
