Below is a list of 10 sports medicine leaders who have made a positive impact on their organizations and have their sights set on future growth. 

Amber Randall, MD, joined the orthopedic surgery team at Prescott, Ariz.-based Granite Orthopaedics, according to a March 19 report by Arizona Daily Sun.

David Altchek, MD, performed knee surgery on Edwin Díaz, a pitcher for Major League Baseball's New York Mets, on March 16 in Florida.

Keith Meister, MD, is set to perform elbow surgery on Washington Nationals pitcher Cade Cavalli on March 22.

Richelle Takemoto, MD, joined Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton, N.Y.

Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark., is the first in the region to use the Zimmer Biomet Rosa hip system. 

Robert Marx, MD, performed knee surgery on Christian Dvorak, a forward for the Montreal Canadiens in the National Hockey League, on March 15.
