Orthopedic surgeon sings with the Foo Fighters — 3 things to know

Lew Schon, MD, performed with the Foo Fighters at a July 22 concert in Boston, according to JamBase.com.

Here are three things to know:

1. Dr. Schon was the first guest performer of the night, singing with the band in a cover of the Ramones’ “Blitzkrieg Bop.”

2. He is an orthopedic surgeon at MedStar Health in Baltimore. He repaired Foo Fighters’ frontman Dave Grohl’s broken leg in 2015.

3. Dr. Schon is the father of Pigeons Playing Ping Pong guitarist Jeremy Schon.
