Researchers examined 28 patients who sustained an acute AC joint dislocation and underwent surgery. The time between the initial trauma and surgery was 7.3 days. Patients with evidence of posterior instability had significantly inferior results in the Taft Score and Acromioclavicular Joint Instability Score postoperatively.
There were no cases of coracoid fractures or early loss of reduction due to tunnel malpositioning or implant loosening. The average Subjective Shoulder Value score reached 95.1 percent postoperatively.
