Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Carol Copeland of Penn State Hershey Bone & Joint Institute

Carol Copeland, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon and associate professor at Penn State Hershey (Pa.) Bone and Joint Institute.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Copeland is a member of the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Orthopaedic Trauma Association.

 

Dr. Copeland’s research interests include functional outcomes after trauma as well as pelvic and acetabular fractures. Additionally, Baltimore Magazine named her a Top Doctor.

 

After earning her medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C., Dr. Copeland completed her residency at University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore. Dr. Copeland is also fellowship trained from the University of Maryland Medical System.
