Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Cedric Ortiguera of Mayo Clinic

Cedric Ortiguera, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla.

Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Ortiguera's clinical interests include sports medicine, computer-assisted procedures, minimally invasive surgery and arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery.


Dr. Ortiguera is an American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons fellow as well as a member of the American Association of Hip and knee Surgeons and Florida Orthopaedic Society. The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery selected him to serve as an examiner for the Oral Examination Committee.


After earning his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in New York City, Dr. Ortiguera completed his residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Dr. Ortiguera is also fellowship trained from Minneapolis Sports Medicine Center.
