Dr. Cole is also the head of the Cartilage Restoration Center at Rush and team physician for the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox. Here are five key notes on the presentation:
1. Dr. Cole’s talk is about “Sparing the Scalpel: A Surgeon’s Perspective on the Future of Orthopedic Medicine.”
2. The presentation is part of the TEDxRushU 2016 event “Seize the Future.” Rush University Medical Center graduate students organized the event.
3. The TEDxRushU 2016 event will feature presenters focused on several topics including farming, religion and architecture in addition to Dr. Cole’s presentation.
4. The event takes place on April 30.
5. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Cole is the head of the Orthopedic Master’s Program and trains residents and fellows in sports medicine and research. He has published more than 1,000 articles and five orthopedics-focused textbooks.
