Donald C. Sheridan, MD, performed elbow surgery on Arizona Diamondback's center A.J. Pollock, according to The Sports Quotient.

1. Mr. Pollock's recovery time could keep him out for the rest of the season.
2. Dr. Sheridan practices in Scottsdale, Ariz., and is the Diamondbacks' orthopedic hand specialist.
3. Dr. Sheridan earned his medical degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson and completed his residency and fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
