2 surgeons help Manchester United’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic avoid retirement with operation — 4 observations

Freddie H. Fu, MD, and Volker Musahl, MD, of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center operated on Manchester United’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s knee, according to ESPN.

1. Mr. Ibrahimovic is expected to make a full recovery.

 

2. Mr. Ibrahimovic began rehabbing at UPMC shortly after the procedure.

 

3. Drs. Fu and Musahl will be in charge of Mr. Ibrahimovic’s care throughout his recovery.

 

4. Dr. Fu examined Mr. Ibrahimovic’s knee on Wednesday, April 26 amid fears the 35-year old forward’s injury would force him to retire.

 

5. Following surgery, the surgeons are confident Mr. Ibrahimovic can continue playing high-level soccer following rehabilitation and recovery.
