Genesys Spine’s SIros-X system for sacroiliac joint fusion launched, and Scott Parker, MD, performed the inaugural case, according to a March 31 news release.
SIros-X is designed for acute and chronic instabilities and deformities of the thoracic, lumbar, and sacral spine. The system features enhanced tulip angulation and increased mechanical strength to support long-term construct stability. It’s also compatible with the TiLock Spinal System’s 5.5mm titanium alloy rods and offers open, closed, and headless implant configurations.
“This system provides the strength, adaptability, and workflow efficiency needed for today’s complex spinal and sacroiliac procedures” Dr. Parker, who debuted the system at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown in Nashville, Tenn., said in the release. “I believe it will be a valuable addition to the surgical toolbox and help achieve reliable fixation in complex cases.”
