From new technologies and surgical techniques, several hospitals and practices have added to their spine and orthopedic programs in September.

Whether it's with the people they're working with or outside companies, spine surgeons have to seek partnerships that support their patients and their practices.

Minimally invasive spine surgery is touted for its smaller incisions, shorter hospital stays and lower costs. Although there were some complications, the technique remains a safe option, according to a narrative review study published Sept. 30 in Neurospine.
