Dr. Arnold Graham Smith Performs New Minimally Invasive SI Joint Surgery

Arnold Graham Smith, MD, a spine physician practicing in Jacksonville, Fla., performed a new minimally invasive surgery for a 66-year-old patient’s sacroiliac joint injury, according to an ABC New York news story.

Dr. Graham Smith is a member of an elite group of physicians who performs this surgery. He uses the Arthrodesis process in which he makes three incisions across the sacroiliac joint and then stabilizes the joint by implanting three porous triangular rods through the joint. Dr. Graham Smith utilizes imaging technology to guide him through the surgery.
