6 organizations earning spine certifications, accreditation

Here are six hospitals, health systems and organizations that have received spine certifications and accreditations, as reported by Becker’s in 2025:

  1. The University of California San Diego earned another Gold Seal of Approval for advanced certification in spine surgery from The Joint Commission.
  2. Sutter Health-owned Novato (Calif.) Community Hospital earned advanced certification in spine surgery from The Joint Commission.
  3. Macon-based OrthoGeorgia earned accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care for complex spine care. 
  4. Binghamton, N.Y.-based United Health Services became the first program in Upstate New York to earn The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for spine surgery. 
  5. Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark., earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for advanced certification in spine surgery.
  6. Fort Worth-based Texas Health Orthopedic Surgery Center Heritage is the first ASC to earn the advanced certification in spine surgery from The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
