The accreditation process includes an evaluation of the organization’s adherence to evidence-based clinical practice guidelines, continuous use of performance improvement strategies and the strength of its organizational infrastructure, according to a Feb. 3 news release sent to Becker’s.

OrthoGeorgia underwent an on-site survey conducted by experienced clinical surveyors specializing in ambulatory orthopedics, who reviewed the practice from pre- assessment through discharge and rehabilitation.

AAAHC was founded in 1979 and accredits over 6,100 organizations, from ASCs to office-based surgery facilities.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
