Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. L. Brett Babat of Premier Orthopaedics

Dr. L. Brett Babat is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon at Premier Orthopaedics.

Dr. Babat’s career began at the Yale University School of Medicine. After he graduated, he completed a residency at Brown University. While at Brown he served as a trauma fellow. He then completed a fellowship in neurosurgery and orthopedic spine surgery at the Cleveland Clinic.

 

Throughout his career, Dr. Babat has focused on reconstructive spine surgery, while taking a special interest in the management of spine tumors.

 

Dr. Babat is renowned for his research. He helped to develop instrumentation for minimally invasive spine surgery applications, and he currently has a patent pending for a new form of spino-pelvic fixation.

 

Dr. Babat has multiple hospital affiliations including one at the Skyline Medical Center, the Hendersonville Medical Center, the Williamson Medical Center and the Premier Orthopaedic Surgery Center.
