SuitX’s pediatric exoskeleton places 1st in UAE robotics competition: 3 highlights

SuitX, a California-based robotics company, won $1 million for its pediatric medical exoskeleton at the UAE Robotics for Good competition, according to eWeek.

1. The competition included 664 competitors from 121 countries.

 

2. SuitX’s pediatric exoskeleton is a part of the company’s Phoenix platform. It helps children with neurological conditions, like spina bifida, walk.

 

3. The Phoenix weighs 27 pounds and costs $40,000. Comparable exoskeletons cost between $70,000 and $120,000.
