Several new augmented reality systems for spine and orthopedics went to market in the U.S. or were approved in 2022.

The FDA approved the market's smallest implantable and rechargeable spinal cord stimulation system, designed by healthcare technology company Abbott. 

Spine implant provider Spineart has partnered with surgical navigation company eCential Robotics to open augmented spine surgery training centers in the U.S. and Europe.
