The IDEO is a custom-fit, carbon ad fiberglass device designed to support the foot and ankle. If the device is able to help wounded military members run again, they may be able to return to active duty.

After receiving the IDEO, the military members go through rehabilitation to train with the device. At least 143 wounded military members have been fitted with the device.
