Alphatec Holdings reported total revenue of $214 million for the second quarter ended June 30, up 15% year over year. Surgical revenue increased 17% year over year to $196 million, driven by 20% growth in spine surgery case volume.
Despite the increase in spine case volume, revenue per case fell 2.7% year-over-year on case mix, international growth and softer biologics attachment, prompting Alphatec to lower its full-year revenue-per-case outlook to a low-single-digit decline from a prior expectation of roughly flat, according to an Aug. 4. company news release.
The company reported a GAAP net loss of $26 million and non-GAAP net income of $11 million. Adjusted EBITDA totaled $36 million, representing a 16.8% margin, while net new surgeon users increased 24%.
Alphatec reaffirmed its full-year 2026 revenue outlook of approximately $882 million, including approximately $805 million in surgical revenue and approximately $77 million in EOS revenue.
