Medtronic, Lumeon partner for value-based care platform in Europe

Medtronic and Lumeon entered into a strategic partnership that aims to help healthcare providers in Europe succeed with value-based care.

Three quick notes:

1. Medtronic’s Integrated Healthcare Solutions business will leverage the Lumeon CPM Platform for operationalizing care pathways. The technology includes both surgery optimization and chronic disease management.

2. The partners are working with more than 100 hospitals in Europe to develop evidence-based pathways focused on delivering the best outcomes for the lowest cost.

3. For the second quarter of Medtronic’s 2020 fiscal year, the company reported $7.7 billion in revenue. Non-U.S. developed market revenue was $2.3 billion and represented 30 percent of the company’s revenue.
