RTI Surgical shakes up leadership team, adds former Alphatec CEO — 4 insights

RTI Surgical Holdings made a pair of appointments to its leadership team, as the company works to redefine its image as a spine and original equipment manufacturer.

What you should know:

1. Terry Rich will join RTI as president of global spine.

2. Before joining RTI, Mr. Rich was director and CEO of Alphatec Spine. During his tenure at Alphatec, Mr. Rich played a key role in the company's turnaround. He helped shape the company's portfolio and laid the groundwork for continued innovation and growth.

3. Mr. Rich received 125,598 shares of RTI common stock as a condition of his joining RTI. He has several other milestone-based options to acquire more stock.

4. Additionally, RTI promoted Olivier Visa to the position of president of Global OEM. Mr. Visa joined RTI in October 2017 as vice president of OEM.
