Here are four highlights:
1. Lourdes Medical Center’s surgeons will use the Mazor system for various spinal procedures, like biopsies as well as thoracic and lumbar spinal fusion.
2. The robotic system is designed for minimally invasive spine surgery, decreasing operative times, shortening hospital stays, reducing complication rates and decreasing X-ray radiation exposure.
3. The hospital’s spine surgeons will also perform reconstructive surgeries for conditions like scoliosis and spondylolisthesis.
4. The Renaissance system has 1.5 mm accuracy.
